As a stay-at-home mom, I enjoy the yoga pants and mom bun quite often. However, I feel most productive when I getup, do my makeup & hair, and dress in clothes that make me feel stylish!! On that note, I am not much of a shopper.
I don’t like venturing out to look for jeans or blouses because it seems like every time I am looking for something specific, I NEVER find anything I like. That is why,
when people ask me where I get all my cute clothes, I recommend they buy what they LOVE right when they discover it. I typically don’t go out shopping for clothes, but when I see a dress while I am out buying makeup at Target…..I BUY THAT DRESS!!
With winter upon us, there are so many options for updating your wardrobe with ease. My winter essentials always start with black fashion leggings (or pants…..but leggings always win in my book). Gone are the days where you can only find thin, see through leggings that should never be worn as pants. You can easily find leggings that are meant to be worn as pants and they actually keep you semi-warm during this frigid weather! You can even get them with pockets or added detail such as leather and zippers!! However, to get your hands on the best material to wear you must visit Get Bold.
In addition to a pair of classy black leggings, I love having a few solid, long sleeve shirts to pair with them. I love the
loose style of tops these days (hides that mom belly), and you can usually find me wearing shirts that hang lower than my booty….it’s just the look I prefer but you do YOU!
Along with loose shirts, I am really into sweaters these days. There is not a shortage of cute sweaters in clothing stores, but my favorites include off-the-shoulder and cable knit (chunky) sweaters. Pair it with jeans, leggings, or even a pencil skirt for the perfect cold weather look!!
The last thing I will never be without for my winter style is a couple (and by ‘couple’ I mean SEVERAL) pairs of booties or boots. My boots ALWAYS have heels; whether they are low or high, heels turn any casual outfit into sleek and chic!! Grab yourself a pair in black and a pair in conjac or taupe so they will go with almost any outfit. I’m all about choosing clothing items that are versatile and mixable because let’s be honest….buying a pair of shoes that only go with one outfit is slightly ridiculous!! Follow the link above for several styles of boots that are perfect for the Mom-on-the-go!!
Now that I’ve shared all of my winter essentials….what are your go-to’s for winter style?!
