I am such an animal lover! We have a lot of pets and sometimes I joke that I am creating a little zoo, and it’s not too far from the truth these days. One of my favorite pets so far has been my baby bird Nova! He is a parakeet who slowly but surely stole my heart. He lights up my life and we spent so much time together boding and playing. So naturally I was heart broken when we suddenly and tragically lost him. The grief of the loss has been so great for me. I had never made such a connection to an animal, and I have been a pet mom and so close to so many animals. Birds have a special kind of magic and connection for me. He and I shared a special bond that I will never forget.
So when I saw West and Willow and how they make modern pet portraits I knew I want to have one made for my sweet Nova so we could always remember him.
Our custom pet portrait arrived and I LOVE it so very much! It is absolutely beautiful and the colors are so vibrant. It looks gorgeous on our wall. We chose to hang it in the place where Nova’s cage used to be.
I am so grateful to have this beautiful art piece in my home to always remember my baby bird and what a lucky bird mom I was to have him for the short time I did. I love you Nova boy and I will never forget you and how you opened up my heart in a way no one else could.
