I was excited to try out the new Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked Sausage Crumbles. I love the fact that I don’t have to worry about cooking them. I can just add them into a delicious recipe without any worry about cooking the sausage. It’s fast and easy and the taste isn’t compromised at all. It is delicious sausage!
I decided to make a Breakfast Casserole for my family for dinner last night. Everyone loves breakfast for dinner! Yum!
Turkey Sausage Breakfast Casserole
Ingredients:

1/2 bag of hash browns (15 oz.)

1 bag of Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked Turkey Sausage Crumbles

5 eggs

1/4 cup milk

1 red bell pepper (chopped)

2 cups of cheese
-
1 tbsp butter
-
1/2 tsp onion powder
-
1/4 tsp garlic powder
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
1/2 tsp pepper
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Spray an 8×8 casserole dish with cooking spray.
Line casserole dish with hash browns.
Chop bell pepper, place in bowl with 1 tbsp butter, cover and microwave for one minute. Stir re-cover and cook an additional minute. Allow to cool before adding to eggs (below).
In another bowl mix the eggs, milk, bell pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, salt & pepper. Pour over the hash browns in casserole dish.
Layer 1 cup cheese on top. Layer Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked Turkey Sausage Crumbles. Add remaining cup of cheese.
Cover casserole with foil.
Cook covered at 375 for 1 hour. Remove foil and cook for an additional 15 minutes or until a knife in the center comes out clean (may require additional time). Let cool for 5 minutes and enjoy!

It was super delicious! The Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked Turkey Sausage Crumbles were definitely the star of the dish. They are packed with flavor and super good! My husband was shocked when I told him it was an already turkey sausage I used. I guess he wasn’t expecting it to be so good. He was impressed and so am I. I think next time I make this casserole I will mix the Jimmy Dean Sausage Crumbles in with the hash browns because I think they might flavor the hash browns some and improve the dish.
We love the new Jimmy Dean Sausage Crumbles and I will definitely be buying them again and regularly for my family.
