I think all toddlers love to make a mess when they eat but I especially know that mine do! I was very excited to be able to review the Toppy Toddler Baby Bib when I was asked to. I could not wait for that baby to arrive and let me tell you the day it did I never opened a package so fast! Juliana is my 2 year old and she loves to play with her food. I have to keep in mind when serving her that 20% goes on her head and in her hair, 10 percent goes on the tray to mash up and paint with, 15% goes on the floor and to feed the dogs, 15% covers her hands and then the last 40% I hope goes in her belly. Thats a lot of clean up when you add all the food that does not make it in her mouth up. You can see why I was ecstatic when it arrived and I could get it to use.
So The Toppy Toddler Baby Bib comes in 2 pieces, the placemat and the bib itself that goes around the babies neck.They also include free toddler spoons and forks! These bibs can be used as baby bibs as well as toddler bibs. The neat part about this bib is that the two pieces attach together with velcro. When attached together it makes this cool pocket so that any food dropped gets caught between the two and does not fall to the floor or on any clothing. I found this part very useful when we used it. Its the perfect bib for a baby or toddler learning to feed themselves.
Now here is another really cool feature! The placemat has a hole in it for a suction cup bowl to fit into. This is genius! A suction cup bowl that prevents my daughter from picking up the bowl and dumping it on her head, or helps her from pushing the bowl all over the place while trying to scoop out a bite! Now you can use that bowl with this placemat because it will still stick to the table since the placemat has a hole in it. Don’t have a bowl with a suction cup attached to it? They sell them on the website with the Toppy Toddler Baby Bib! How convenient right?!
My daughter does not enjoy wearing bibs she thinks they are all for babies but let me tell you she really did enjoy wearing this special toddler bib! She loved the colors it came in because we got the pink camouflage and it matches the clothes daddy wears when he goes camping. She also loved the bowl they sent with it because it was pink and it came with a lid and matching spoon. She ate oatmeal and spaghetti with it and no mess on her clothing! No bowl dumping on her head! This was an amazing win for moms everywhere!
