As I have said many times, I am a Harry Potter fan.  I think that I can honestly say that I have stepped into ‘Harry Potter Geek’ territory.  I was so excited to discover that the company, Think Geek, has made a replica of Dolores Umbridge’s Proclamation Board from the 5th Harry Potter film.

If you are not familiar with Harry Potter, Dolores Umbridge is a nasty professor that comes and teaches Harry Potter and his class during the 5th book of the series.  She is truly pure evil.  In the story, she becomes the High Inquistor of Hogwarts and makes new and ridiculous proclamations of new rules at Hogwarts.  These new rules are posted on Proclamation boards.

On the board, it is dry erase so I can make my own ‘proclamations.’  I am excited to use this to post my own little notes at my house or maybe even in my classroom this fall.  What I really like is that at the top of the board, there is a place to store the mini eraser and the dry erase markers.  I also love how detailed the Proclamation Board is.  It feels very authentic!  They really paid attention to how it should look.
