Charlotte loves to play with dollhouses, especially ones with tons of different rooms and accessories! We received the Smaland dollhouse and accessories from Lundby to review and Charlotte was so excited!
I asked my husband to put the dollhouse together while the girls were in bed so I could surprise Charlotte once Leah went off to school. I decided to surprise Charlotte with it because she feels left out sometimes. She sometimes doesn’t get to do the same things as Leah like eating lunch at school, going to friends houses to play and birthday parties.
The dollhouse definitely had to be put together, it really didn’t take my husband that long and I was impressed with how easy and cute it was! What I love is that there are extensions that you can buy for the house to make it bigger! ”

I really loved all of the accessories that we received to fill up the dollhouse. We received the:
- Shower & Bath
- Smaland Dining Room Set
- Smaland TV Set
- Smaland Brass Bed
- Smaland Stove & Fridge Set
- Smaland Sitting Room in Pink
- Smaland Aquarium Set
- Lamps
- Dog Family
- 2 rabbits & hutch
- Classic Doll Family
I had so much fun putting the dollhouse together and putting the furniture in each room. I loved each of the little details! The coffee table has a slide out drawer with books and magazines. The Book case has little books and the TV is actually mounted on the wall! I also loved the little chairs and all of the drawers actually come out of the fridge, stove etc.! The best part of the entire house is that it lights up! There are certain plugs throughout the house and certain items like the lamps and aquarium can be plugged into those and then you plug the entire system into the wall. What is nice is they are tiny little holes and nothing can be put into them and there are no wires hanging out anywhere.
When I presented the Smaland Dollhouse to Charlotte she was beyond excited. Her jaw dropped to the floor! She sat at the little table and played by herself for at least 45 mins until she had to go to preschool. Then she played with it afterwards too!
I love that the Smaland line of dollhouse accessories from Lundby has so many to choose from! There are so many additions that you can buy for the house that I can’t wait! There is a garden, additional floors to the house etc.
I also love all of the different accessories for inside the house! There are bedroom sets, food, kitchen sets, lawn furniture, babies etc.! Charlotte absolutely loved this dollhouse! I was a little worried with the tiny pieces but she was very careful with them and played so well!
“The story of Lundby doll’s house begins in 1945, when Axel and Grete Thomsen moved back to Sweden from Denmark. They settled down in a small neighbourhood named Lundby in the northern part of Gothenburg. Grete started designing and building a doll’s house and furniture for her niece.
These were so appreciated by the niece and her friends that Axel began to consider turning it into a business. Two years later Ferd Lundqvist & Co., (nowadays NK department store) placed the first order for no less than SEK 325. Grete and Axel spent SEK 320 of this money to buy new tools, so they could eventually introduce the first, homemade doll’s house collection. The first doll’s house factory opened the following year.
Lundby has continued to grow and flourish, always taking the lead in contemporary houses and furniture. This has always been the core of our business: the love for contemporary design and what it will look like through the eyes of a child when he or she creates a world of their own.” (Lundby Website
