Director/writer Peter Hedges brings enchantment to the screen with The Odd Life of Timothy Green, an inspiring, magical story about a happily married couple, Cindy and Jim Green (Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton), who can’t wait to start a family but can only dream about what their child would be like. When young Timothy (CJ Adams) shows up on their doorstep one stormy night, Cindy and Jim — and their small town of Stanleyville — learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life’s greatest gifts. — (C) Disney
I am going to start off this review with a simple statement, go and see this movie! I absolutely loved it! Definitely one of the best movies I have seen in awhile.
There are many reasons why I liked this movie so much. I loved how I felt as I watched this movie. It is one of those ‘warm fuzzy’ movies that you feel good just watching. Some people many say that this movie is too sweet but I disagree. Sometimes we need those movies.
The acting in this movie was great. Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton really put their heart and soul into these roles. You see their pain learning that they cannot have children of their own, you feel their joy when Timothy comes into their life, and you feel their frustration, sadness, and happiness in raising a child. In my opinion though, this movie belongs to CJ Adams, the boy who plays Timothy Green. This movie really depends on his performance and he is fantastic. He is the cutest boy with a contagious smile. Together, these actors had amazing chemistry and you could really believe that they were a family.
This is a great movie for the whole family to enjoy. Parents and kids will both love and relate to it. Family is a big centerpoint of this film.
I loved The Odd Life of Timothy Green and will definitely be seeing it again! I absolutely loved it and will be recommending it to all my family and friends. This is a movie not to missed! Go see it!
