Ok, I am here to talk the good, the bad and the ugly of Mommy Life and of course having a sick kid! Nothing is worse than having a sick kiddo at home and having to deal with everyday Mommy Life! Pfizer Consumer Healthcare wants us to share our great moments and the ahem not so great moments!
I will admit my kids don’t get sick very often, but when they do it’s seriously a doozy! I remember a few years ago when Leah my then 5 year old wakes up for school and I think she is fine until I take a look at her face! Her eye was completely swollen shut! It seriously looked like a bee had stung her in the eye and not to mention she was incredibly miserable.
I felt so bad for her, she was just so sick and not feeling herself. I took her into the Dr. and it was a cold that had gone up to her sinuses, poor thing!
Now that wasn’t too bad….I can deal with that. What I couldn’t deal with was…Charlotte’s um incident. We put the girls to bed and I thought they were asleep until I here Leah screaming, she swallowed it! At 915 she swallowed a coin and ended up in Primary Children’s hospital, she was there until 2 am and I’m glad I didn’t just let her pass it at home. She was complaining her throat hurt and they found the coinstuck in her esophagus. The radiologist had to push it down into her stomach. She had to have a tube shoved down her throat and didn’t get home till 330 am. It scared her, it scared me and looking for a laser tag coin in her poop was no party eather! #SickJustGotReal
I am so glad that I had modern medicine from Pfizer consumer Healthcare to ease their pains. Those are some of my most scary Mommy Moments. I love in the video where they are seriously keeping it real! There are times as a Mom I just want to be able to pee in silence in the bathroom by myself without any interruptions. I feel like the only time I get to do that is when every child is asleep in the house. Why is it that when your in the bathroom they need 50 million things right at that exact moment! Oh and let’s not mention that right as your leaving to go somewhere something happens! Like yesterday we were leaving to go to church and we were going to be right on time then the baby barfs on her outfit, ok no biggie, then she barfs on the 2nd dress that I put on her, then the 4 year old just happens to need to go potty right then!
Oh the joys of being a Mom. But one thing I really learned from the #SickJustGotReal video is that even though all of those things are happening, I wouldn’t trade my baby or my kids feeling better for anything. I may want a million different things in my life, but healthy, happy kids are my number one priority and I wouldn’t trade being a Mom for anything.
