My 6 year old son is OBSESSED with Legos right now (that might be an understatement). When he first saw the trailer for the new Lego Movie he started counting down the days until it’s release. So when we were offered to attend an advanced screening for The Lego Movie we couldn’t pass up the chance!
It was so much fun attending this early screening. They had a really cool large Lego display set up right in front of the auditorium where we were viewing the movie.
We had to snap a shot of him in front of Batman’s cave, very cool!
Then it was time to watch the movie. Let me start by saying I honestly didn’t have high hopes for this movie. I figured I would go for my son and suffer through it. Boy was I wrong! So wrong! I LOVED this movie. It was HILARIOUS! I was blown away by how funny, creative, and completely entertaining this movie was. I literally laughed from start to finish.
The jokes are great, it is silly for sure and that is what makes it so fun!
My son absolutely loved it, of course, no surprise there. He was thrilled that Batman is in a lot of the movie, since he loves Lego superheroes the most. After the movie was over he couldn’t stop singing the song from the movie “Everything is Awesome”.
He has been talking about it ever since. “mom remember the part where…”. And he keeps asking me if we can buy it when it comes out on Blu-ray. The answer is YES! For sure!
My husband was with us at the screening as well and enjoyed the movie as much as I did. So this is definitely a movie the whole family can enjoy together.
I highly recommend seeing it, you won’t regret it!
“An ordinary guy named Emmet (Chris Pratt) is mistaken as being the Master Builder, the one who can save the universe. With the aid of an old mystic Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman), a tough young lady named Lucy (Elizabeth Banks), and Batman (Will Arnett), Emmet will fight to defeat the evil tyrant Lord Business (Will Ferrell) who is bent on destroying the universe by gluing it together.”
