We have been enjoying this game very much at our house. I have been a dancer my whole life and one of my favorite types of dancing is Hip Hop. It is just so fun to do, and I’m pretty good at it, I must admit . I really like that there are different levels of difficulty so anyone can enjoy this game. It’s like getting hip hop dance lessons from the comfort of your home. There is also a great variety of Hip Hop music, both new and old school (spanning 30 years) so that makes it appealing to all ages as well. There are 4 different modes you can play in:
Dance Party mode: A fast and easy way to jump in and start playing. You can choose the difficulty level that is right for you then start busting a move!
Dance Battle mode: You get to battle other players (up to 4 players) and not only are you trying to beat their score but you are trying to lower their score. You can finally find out which member of the family (or group of friends) truly has the best moves.
Dance Marathon mode: The songs keep coming as long as you keep dancing. This is nice if you want to keep dancing without having to select new songs each time. Dance until you drop!
Power Skooling mode: This is a great way to learn the moves or even master them. It shows you how to correctly do each move and you can keep practicing until you get it down and look like a pro. This is great if you are feeling like you aren’t able to pick up the moves in game mode or are a perfectionist like me
I like that you can have up to 4 players which is great for family play and playing during a party or with friends. It is also fun to play alone. There is a break dance section in the middle of songs and my son LOVES it. He immediately starts busting a move and attempts to break dance on the floor. So fun to watch! This is a fun game, if you love to Dance and love Hip hop you will want to own this game!
The Hip Hop Dance Experience is available on Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 Kinect online and in stores now.
