Andy Brewster is about to embark on the road trip of a lifetime, and who better to accompany him than his overbearing mother Joyce. After deciding to start his adventure with a quick visit at mom’s, Andy is guilted into bringing her along for the ride. Across 3,000 miles of ever-changing landscape, he is constantly aggravated by her antics, but over time he comes to realize that their lives have more in common than he originally thought. I was excited to see The Guilt Trip because Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogan were in it together. I wanted to see if they would be any good together. I thought that this movie might be a train wreck. In the end, their chemistry together as mother and son was the best part of the whole show. They were fabulous together and really played off each other well. I bet this movie had a lot of great bloopers! Out of the two, I thought that Barbra’s performance was the best. She really put a lot of heart into her performance as an overbearing mother. She did it great! I thought that this movie was going to be really raunchy but it was not overly dirty. It had a couple of moments but in the end it was a sweet mother and son story.
