A lot of the hotels in Milan can get a little pricey so you probably want to look into having a stay at a hotel in a local neighborhood and not somewhere deep into the city. Most hotels will be expensive unless you are in the country area which could be about 75 a night.

Plus you can visit the Whitsunday Islands or take the world famous Airlie Beach sunset cruise.
