My daughter loves jewelry and she is finally at the age where she actually takes care of her nice things so I am able to skip the cheap necklaces and bracelets, and go for the really cute items that will actually last her a while!! I was able to review a customized floating locket necklace from Sydney’s Jewells, and I was just blown away by how sweet and unique it is!!

Looking through the options at Sydney’s Jewells, I was so excited to get started designing a special floating locket for my daughter. These floating lockets are something I had never seen before being introduced to Sydney’s Jewells. I love how different they are and how I was able to customize one to fit the personality and likes of my 10 year old. It was as simple as choosing a locket color, a stamped plate and charms to go inside the locket, and 2 dangle charms to attach to the chain of the necklace.

For our necklace, I chose a black floating locket & chain just because I felt like it was a little different than the typical silver necklace. Of course, you can always go with silver, but there is also gold & rose gold (a close contender for me 😉 ). My stamped plate says ‘DREAM’ just because I thought it was inspirational for my 10 year old. The most fun part of designing the necklace was choosing which charms to add. I went with ballet shoes (she’s a dancer), a baseball (she plays softball), a pencil (she loves to write stories and draw), a birthstone, a diamond ‘Q’ for her first initial, and a heart that says ‘sister’. All these charms tell a story of my daughter and her life. If the necklace wasn’t already perfect…..I added 2 dangle charms (a flower and a pearl) to finish it off. I am in love with it!
