I am an 80’s child as I am sure a lot of our mommy readers may be as well. I grew up with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a big part of my saturday morning routine. So when I was asked to review the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Ultimate Showdown on DVD there was definitely no hesitation on my part. I was excited because although I have already introduced my sons to them, this DVD is supposed to be really amazing! There is nothing more I enjoy than watching my children enjoy things that I enjoyed as a child! It brings back memories and it makes my heart melt a little!
The dvd comes with 2 discs of great cartoon action! My boys spent all weekend just watching the Ultimate Showdown over and over again. They really enjoyed being able to pause and control watching it without worrying about commercials. As with most things my kids enjoy, they over watched it to the point where they could say the dialogue before the Turtles said the words out loud! It really brought back memories of my own childhood. Its nice to have something to share with them even if its a cartoon character I grew up with. We really enjoyed this DVD set and the special features was enjoyable for the kids too. So don’t forget to complete your Season 1 collection with this all new DVD set!

The series has some famous stars as the voices of the turtles. Stars like Jason Biggs, from American Pie, as “Leonardo,” Sean Astin as “Raphael”, Rob Paulsen as “Donatello” and Greg Cipes as “Michelangelo.” My oldest son got a kick putting some famous faces with the voices as he watches the series now.
