I attended an advance screening of this film for my review. All opinions are my own.
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”-©Sony Pictures
I have been so excited for Spider-Man: No Way Home. I can happily say that it is probably one of the best Spider-Man films that has been made.
I loved the film’s storyline. This is the film that Spider-Man fans have been waiting for. The story is fun and fast paced with fun surprises along the way. It wraps up this trilogy very nicely but leaves you excited for what adventures Spider-Man is going to have next.
The cast is fantastic. I loved that they brought back villains from the previous films. I especially loved seeing Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina step back into their roles of Green Goblin and Doc Ock. These two stole every scene they were in.
I felt like Tom Holland got a chance to really show more emotion in this film. He finally had the chance to come into his own as Spider-Man. I have loved Tom Holland as Spider-Man. I hope he continues to do more Spider-Man films. If not, he has finished his turn, in the role, on a high note.
Content wise, Spider-Man: No Way Home is rated PG-13 “for sequences of action/violence, some language, and brief suggestive comments.” I would say that the amount of violence and content is equivalent to other films in the franchise. If your children have seen the other films in the franchise, they will be okay seeing this one.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is opening exclusively in theaters and, if possible, is the best format to see the movie in. This movie is meant to be seen on the big screen. I don’t think you will get the same experience watching it at home. Also, make sure to stay through the credits for 2 additional scenes.
I loved Spider-Man: No Way Home and I am excited to see it again!
