I received complimentary tickets to LEGOLAND Discovery Center AZ for my review. All opinions are my own.
My kids were thrilled to find out that we have a LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona near us! It is located in the Arizona Mills mall in Tempe. We couldn’t wait to check it out!
First off, there is a lot to do, which is great. Plan on spending at least 2 hours there so your kids can enjoy everything and not feel rushed. Inside there are 2 rides that the kids both loved. One is a laser ride, where you get to shoot targets and save a little Dragon. And a ride where you get to peddle and it makes your cart rise up into the air as you spin in a circle. Both cute and fun for the kids.
There is a mini figure land which shows off Arizona’s sites, it’s really detailed and cool. There are little areas where the kids can push buttons and the attraction reacts with movement and sounds.
Also, while you are in there it switches from day to night and even has fireworks projection on the wall which was fun.
Right now for the month of October, there are little Halloween details all over, like pumpkins, spider webs, LEGO figures in costumes. We thought that was really fun to see.
There is also a fun LEGO city play ground that the kids had a blast playing in. There are areas where your kids can build LEGOS, test if there design is earthquake proof, and even build cars and race them down a track.
And you won’t want to miss the new 4D LEGO movie!
One of my favorite things as a pregnant mama, was the parent’s lounge. It is nice and quiet in there and there are soft seats. I was able to relax with my legs up while daddy played with the kids. It was the perfect place for me to take a little break. There are also tables in there in case you need to get some work done.
My kids had an absolute blast here! I highly recommend taking your kids if you live near this location. There is so much to do and lots of LEGO fun to be had!
Check out this cute video my son made showing the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona.
Right now on the weekends they are doing a Brick-or-Treat with “an assortment of festive, fall-themed fun, from a Halloween Mask Build to an opportunity for guests to build their own pumpkins to add to the Pumpkin Patch. Also, visitors can trade in their MINIFIGURES with any LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Arizona employee for a special treat – a Halloween edition MINIFIGURE – and don their spookiest garb for a Costume Contest to be held at 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm Saturdays and Sundays throughout the Brick or Treat celebration.”
The kids had a lot of fun making LEGO pumpkins in the LEGO pumpkin Patch and Graveyard.
There are still 2 more weekends for Brick-or-Treat so be sure to head in on October 22-23, 29-30, 2016 during regular business hours which are 10 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sundays.
Visit the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona website for more information and to plan your visit.
