The Snuggle Me Organic nest is a portable, comforting lounger that could be used for co-sleeping, daily naps near mom, or for providing a familiar place to rest while traveling.

DESIGN

Because of our patented center sling, which is slightly raised and unpadded, the Snuggle Me will gently pull in against baby, giving the feeling of a hug. This is a unique, patented feature only found in the Snuggle Me. The Snuggle Me is not just a place to lay baby, but will physically pull in against baby’s sides. Because of our protective patents, no other sleeper or lounger can give this sensory experience to your baby…all others fall short.

SAFETY

Having the secure fit around baby’s torso, also ensure baby is not able to roll or turn within the Snuggle Me. This is a very important safety feature that we encourage all new families to take into consideration when they are looking at other co-sleeping and lounging options. Babies should not be laid in padded surfaces where they are able to roll or turn, no matter how “breathable” a fabric is.

HELPS PREVENT THE MORO OR ‘STARTLE’ REFLEX

The startle reflex is a protective newborn reflex that can frequently wake baby, causing disruptive sleep for everyone. Because the Snuggle Me securely contours to baby and provides physical support all around it is the only co-sleeping aid that truly tames the Moro (startle) reflex in infants. (**There are other companies out there that claim to tame this reflex, however, the Snuggle Me is the only product that provides the support and physical contact needed to prevent the Moro Reflex).

HAND CRAFTED IN THE USA

10 years ago, we made the first Snuggle Me at our kitchen table on a used sewing machine with fabrics from the local sewing store. We were equipped only with a vision and crazy determination. Staying true to our beginning, we continue to employ local, Minnesota sewers to craft each and every Snuggle Me with care. We also have chosen to only use fabrics manufactured here in the USA. Why? First, because we value supporting family-owned US businesses and second, because all fabrics made in the US are under the regulations of the CPSIA, which have the strictest regulations on fabric manufacturing in the world. As moms ourselves, we wanted the best choice possible for our materials setting us far above any competitor.

When you think of babies, you often think of sleep. It’s such an important part of daily life with infants- how much should they sleep? Where should they sleep? Should you keep the same routine all day/night? Should you co-sleep? How can you co-sleep safely?

I think many parents go into it with a solid idea of how they want to handle sleep and sleep training, but often that idea flies out the window when the sleep deprivation sets in. With my first two boys, I usually fell back on what was going to give us all the most and best sleep, and that meant co-sleeping. When breastfeeding, there’s just nothing better than your little one right beside you, getting fed and put back to sleep so there is as little sleep interruption as possible.

Now that I am pregnant with #3 (YAY!) I knew I wanted a good solution for having my baby close to me during the night. We co-slept with our other two, but we never used anything in the bed and there was always safety concerns in the back of my mind. I looked at some of those bassinets that come up right next to your bed, and those seem to be an ok solution, but our room is quite small, and it’s just one more big, bulky baby item. And then there is still some commotion to getting baby near you quickly in the middle of the night.

When I first saw the Snuggle Me Organic nest I KNEW that was my perfect solution! I mean, just look at it? Wouldn’t you love a big adult sized one to snuggle up in? I can’t imagine any way for baby to be more comfy than surrounded by this cozy nest. It’s so simple, yet made so well that it serves so many great functions. I love that it is so light and easy to carry- super simple to take from room to room, and even to travel with! It is perfect co-sleeping bed as well as a place for daily naps, but it also is a fun place for your infant to play, relax, watch you cook or clean, get in some tummy time, or even as a portable changing table! The middle part is unpadded, so when the baby’s weight fills it, the sides of the Snuggle Me will close in, giving baby the comfort of being wrapped up and held. Perfection! This also helps infants sleep better, because they are less likely to be woken up by their startle (moro) reflex. It also keeps baby safely on their back, which is the best way for baby to sleep to prevent SIDS. Even though I am still pregnant and we haven’t had a chance to test out the co-sleeping aspect yet, I have been using it as a nanny and I can tell you the little ones LOVE it! It is made in the USA and seriously, what a perfect baby shower gift would the Snuggle Me make? I know it will get many years of use in our house, and I can’t wait for my new baby to enjoy his/her Snuggle Me Organic!
