My kids health is obviously very important to me, and I am always wondering what is in the plastics we use, and how does it affect them? I was VERY excited to review a few products from Silikids and make the trade from plastic to glass and silicone. Silicone DOES NOT contain toxic chemicals like bisphenol-A, lead, PVC and phthalates, and is safe for kids to use over and over again.

I LOVE each of the products we received! The drinking glasses are really great- they are genius! It’s glass inside with a thick, silicone wrap around it. AMAZING- because 1) better grip keeps the glass from slipping out of kids hands and 2) If it does fall, it won’t break. Genius I tell you! I also adore the universal straw tops. I feel like we have so many different kinds of glasses and cups for the kids, it’s impossible to keep it all organized and know what goes with what. But these straw tops fit on any cup! YESSSS! Easy. And these would be great for on-the-go to prevent spills.

But I have to say my favorite is the awesome reusable silicone food bags. I HATE using and throwing away plastic bags- bad for us, bad for the environment, and bad for my wallet. But the problem with a lot of the reusable baggies on the market is that although they are cute and have a fun pattern, you can’t see what is inside of them which means if you store anything in there you have to open it up every time to see what it is, or label it, which- ain’t nobody got time for that. These siliskin bags are see through and PERFECT for storing anything! I have literally used them every single day for fruits and veggies in the fridge. They would be great for storing any kind of snack or food- they are thick and durable. They are also BPA free, hypoalergenic, AND dishwasher safe. A Mama’s dream.
