“Sid the Science Kid: The Movie” follows Sid and his friend Gabriela through their adventure in The Super Ultimate Science Museum. After winning a sciencefair contest, Sid and Gabriela are named “Junior Investigators” and are awarded with a special inside look at the new museum before it opens to the public. Once there, they meet quirky scientist Dr. Bonabodon (voiced by guest star Christopher Lloyd), who has designed robot tour guides, including Bobbybot, his greatest creation. Sid and Gabriela also meet Yangyang and Niuniu, the “Future Scientist” contest winners from China, and the four pals observe giant honey bees, investigate robots, and even encounter a giant singing Tyrannosaurus Rex. But when their robot guide short-circuits, Sid, Gabriela, Yangyang, and Niuniu must work together and usescience to try to save the day. Together, they learn that you can be a scientist at any age – and that thinking like a kid is sometimes the best way to solve a problem!
We LOVE Sid the Science Kid in our house- my boys think he’s funny and I think he’s a great educator for them! I love that this series is based on science- it makes it fun for my boys and they don’t even realize they are learning! We loved Sid the Science Kid: The Movie. The kids get to go to a super duper science museum and have lots of fun and learn a ton. There’s even a little “Back To The Future”ness for the grown-ups. =) They meet new friends and go on fun adventures- this is a great DVD for any little one on your list!
