I have to start out by saying that I am in love with this new Peek Plus Internet Baby Monitor System! I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and it has been so great. Here is a look at it:
The monitor comes with 3 pieces: the camera, the internet gateway, and the handheld video monitor. Each comes with it’s own power cord. The handheld unit has a re-chargeable battery and can be used with or without the power cord. The instructions say to let the handheld unit get a full charge before use. Once it was fully charge it was ready to go. I just plugged the camera in and switched it to on. Then I connected the internet gateway to my wireless router and turned it on. It was so simple and fast to do.
Next I set up an account on the Summer Infant Internet viewing webpage using my product number. That was also a quick and simple process. Once that was all set up I was able to log in and see baby through the internet on my laptop. This is so perfect for having on my screen while I am on the computer working. I can see baby as she naps and hear her if she wakes and needs me.

They made it even cooler because there is also an app that you can download onto your smartphone (it’s Free) and view baby on your phone as well. In fact I can even view it on my iPod touch & tablet (so it doesn’t even have to be a phone).
The image from the camera is really clear and the colors are vibrant. You can even view baby in the dark as it has night vision as well. The handheld unit 
provides a great signal from anywhere in my house. We have a 2 level home and baby is upstairs. I can view her anywhere in the house and even in my back yard using the handheld monitor without any signal problems.

Viewing the camera on the internet has also been great for us. Our internet is fast so we don’t have any connection problems and get a good picture. There is about a 3 second delay when viewing on the internet.
Another fun use we found for this monitor is that Grandma can check in on baby whenever she wants. We even use it as a way for her to see the kids since she lives far away. It is a monitor so the sound only goes one way, but we just have her on the phone at the same time and it works perfectly.
“A unique user name and password provides online security. Access to the Internet-viewable Web site can be shared with friends and family, with up to 3 viewers at any one time. The system features an automatic log-out after 10 minutes of inactivity for added security.”
Having a video baby monitor with internet has been so awesome. There have been several times that I have left the handheld unit upstairs and I love that I can just pull it up on the app on my phone. So convenient (since I always have my phone with me).
And another really great use for this camera is as a Nanny Cam. Yep, when you go out on your date night you can set this up in your home and check in on the kids (& babysitter) while your away. Great peace of mind. I will be using this camera for many years to come. Even after baby is grown it makes an excellent tool for checking in on a toddler or child playing in their room, communicating with relatives far away, etc…
I highly recommend this monitor to all parents it is a MUST HAVE!
