Scan2Go is a fun new way to race! You scan cards on the car (by swiping them) and it powers the car according to the cards. There is also a cartoon series coming this fall on Cartoon Network (with the same name).
I received the Scan2Go Circle Race Track Starter Set to review.
Setting it up is really simple. The track pieces snap together and then you place the clips on to make it stay in place. I like that the clips make it so the track doesn’t come apart while my son is playing with it. He can actually pick it up and move it from room to room without it coming apart (a huge plus!). I was surprised at how big the track is, it is a really good size (39.50″L x 39.50″W) so it does require room for play. But, it is nice that the track stays together well and we are able to store it sitting upright against the wall so it doesn’t take up much space that way. The car requires 2 AA batteries which are not included you so you will want to make sure you have those on hand.
It comes with 12 cards total: 8 speed cards & 4 turbo cards. You can scan the cards on the car & then set it on the track and push the start button.
How it works:
“The innovative technology allows you to program the car to activate power turbo sequences during the race. More power and turbo means higher chance to outrun your rivals. You only need to swipe the two cards in the slot provided in the car to store power and turbo before the race starts. There are 2 types of cards available that you can use to set the engine performance of the racer. The POWER cards set the turbo charge power level and the TURBO cards set the number of times the turbo charge will be activated. The POWER card and TURBO card must be used in pair.
POWER Cards: Set the duration of POWER level from 1x – 12x. There are different cards for each car. These cards cannot be activated on another car.
TURBO Cards: Set the total number of TURBO BOOST charges from level 1x – 6x. There are different cards for each car.”
My son has been having a blast with his Scan2Go car and track. There are different race track packs you can buy and you can buy add on sets for tracks you already have. I think I will be buying an add on track for the circle track & another car to make it so my son can race. You can buy additional card packs as well as additional cars (sold separately).
Scan2Go is available online and in stores now!
