While Clark has many romantic encounters throughout the series of Smallville, I have to say my favorite is Lois Lane. I really enjoy watching their relationship evolve from complete strangers to them being engaged. I think Lois is great for Clark and they are meant to be together. Lois first appears in Season 4 Episode 1 "Crusade," when she arrives in Smallville to investigate the death of her cousin Chloe. She meets Clark for the first time when he falls from the sky and is found naked in a corn field. She wraps a red blanket around him (iconic for his future cape) and begins their relationship. I especially enjoy being able to go back and watch when they first met, I think it is so adorable.
