Honestly….I just can’t get enough of natural beauty/hygiene products. I think it is so great that there are alternatives for people who prefer to steer clear of chemicals and ingredients that aren’t exactly great for them. People like me!! I was really excited to receive several handmade soaps to review from and couldn’t wait to try them out. “If you’re using an inexpensive soap, chances are the ingredients are equivocal. Excellent handcrafted soap contains excellent ingredients and excellent ingredients cost more. So if you care about what goes on your body and anti-aging… you won’t mind paying a bit more knowing that ‘better’ ingredients are going on your skin. Our Handcrafted soap completely incorporates and retains all of the natural glycerin, a major benefit in handmade soap. Glycerin attracts moisture to your skin and each bar of handmade soap you use is thereby providing your skin with more moisturizing properties than commercial soap. Also, handmade soaps are blended with nature’s own pure vegetable oils and butters, essential and fragrance oils and organic botanicals. These ingredients are a healthier alternative for cleansing your precious skin. No preservatives or chemicals are included in natural, handcrafted soap.” Savage Soaps sent me a whole box full of their amazing soaps, and I have been so impressed with the quality of each bar! Of course, the first thing I noticed was the packaging. The soap comes in compostable boxes with some really creative labels. The soaps names are pretty clever as well. Some of the soaps I received are: Vajingo Vajayjay soap (I’m sure you can guess what that one is for), Powershield, Beach Bum, and Blonde Bombshell. Inside the boxes are gorgeous handmade soaps stamped with the Savage Soap logo. I know, I know…it’s just soap. But once you use natural, handmade soap, you really can’t go back to that commercial stuff! The thing I love about Savage soaps is that they have really lovely scents but they aren’t too strong. Additionally, they produce a good lather but are super gentle on the skin. No more stripping moisture out of my skin like commercial soaps do.
