I received these dolls in exchange for my coverage. All opinions are my own.
Rainbow High has caught the attention of my girls and they are really into the show as well as the dolls. They think they are so fabulous with great accessories and fashion style. The show pulls them in and they enjoy the characters and stories. From a moms perspective, I really like how Rainbow High encourages inclusivity, diversity, and individuality. I really want my girls to thrive and shine as individuals while also being kind and encouraging to all the people they meet along the way.
I have always felt it is important for us as parents to give our children dolls that look different from them. This sends the message that we accept other people who look different than us. It is up to us as parents to set this example for our children. All skin types are beautiful and equal. Handing your little ones a doll with a different skin tone can be a huge part in your child’s development of allowing and accepting others who are different. They look to us to know what to accept and reject. Let us set only the best example of human kindness always.
So clearly for many reasons, Rainbow High is a definitely a favorite at our house.
The show currently has a storyline about a competition that has our creative juices flowing…
“The best of the best Art Schools from around the world will compete in an elite music high school competition, Rainbow Vision™. Competitors from around the world will let their true colors shine in one epic battle. The ultimate competition to determine the ONE WINNER! THE DRAMA: RAINBOW HIGH (Rainbow Divas) This year, Shadow High is determined to ensure Rainbow High doesn’t win Rainbow Vision again. Rainbow High’s best band the Divas better not get distracted. SHADOW HIGH (Neon Shadow) Shadow High will do anything to make sure their band, Neon Shadow, takes home the WIN.“
Inspired by the Drama Rainbow High competition, my girls decided to create and paint their own backdrops. It was fun to see their creativity and individuality shine in their art.
They weren’t sure what these would be for at first, it was fun to see them brainstorming ideas together about what would come next in their story.
They ended up setting up a studio apartment with a purse shop next to it. Smart business women, starting independent lives.
I couldn’t be more happy as a mom to see that my girls imagined that! Little entrepreneurs in the making. Yay!
We appreciate Rainbow High, the show, the message and the super fun dolls!
