Preserve Your Little Ones Hand Prints ~ Made with Love Ceramic Imprints Review

When I was in kindergarden I made a handprint art project that my mother could hang on her wall. I remember thinking it was neat and comparing my hand to it over the years as I was growing up. I remember how my moms eyes would water up when she would catch me comparing my hand to the smaller version on the wall and thinking to myself that my mom was crazy. I never understood why the size of my hand would make her want to cry. Now as a mother I completely understand. That is part of the reason when I was asked if I would review the Made with Love Ceramic Imprints I could not turn it down. 

After I had accepted the offer I visited the website for Made With Love Ceramic Imprints. The website has a wide variety professional ceramic hand and foot prints to pick from. They can be used to commemorate how small our children’s hands and feet are in a beautiful Ceramic Handmade Plaque. I had trouble finding a plaque that would fit all four of my children without having to make a chain of 4 plaques across the wall. I emailed Made With Love Ceramics asking them if there was a way that I could fit all of my children on one plaque instead of having to leave one of them out or just pick one of them. I heard back from Lisa who works at Made With Love Ceramic Imprints almost immediately and she was so incredibly nice and understanding of my situation. Lisa was able to help come up with the perfect solution for my family so that we could include all of my kids and not hurt anyones feelings! Lisa emailed me a questionnaire that I filled out and sent back with the names of my children, their ages, the color, and what shapes I wanted as well. I was able to see the shapes and fonts that they had available to put on the Ceramic Imprint. I left the layout of everything for the designer to have creative input with. I knew that the artist would make the Ceramic Imprint beautiful just by looking at the photos of the ones they have already made! The whole ordering process was really easy and did not take long to complete.

Not too long after I placed the order I received the package that included the molding clay and cardboard to roll it out on. All 4 of my children were so excited to start right away so we cleared the table and made room for our art project. I got out my rolling pin and pulled out 4 cardboard squares that were individually labeled for each of my children with their names and what hand they were supposed to take the imprint of. Then I pulled out the 4 individually wrapped balls of molding clay and started rolling them out flat one at a time. My kids took turns placing the appropriate hands in the molding clay making sure that they pressed it in making sure the impression was deep enough to be used on the Ceramic Imprints.

After we finished making the imprints I placed them in the ziplock bags and put them back in the box to send back to Made With Love Ceramic Imprints. After we mailed the package back we waited for the finished product to arrive. It only took about 3-4 weeks for the package to ship out and arrived on my husbands birthday.  The kids were so excited when the finished product arrived. It was so beautiful and I was really happy to see my kids hands imprinted forever! It was so well done. You could actually see the lines on the palms of their hands in each imprint. When we gave the plaque to my husband his eyes lit up! He was so happy that we had something made for him that will always show him how little our children were. It is such a beautiful token that represents our family! I will forever be in love with the Made With Love Ceramic Imprints I was sent that has my children’s hands frozen in time!
