I am loving the show Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family! If you haven’t seen it I recommend it. I started watching it a few weeks after it began (but I was able to DVR the previous episodes, so I’ve seen them all) and I got hooked. The whole time while watching I was dying to know who killed Allison and who A is. Watching the show got me thinking…Is it okay to keep secrets from your friends and for your friends to keep secrets from you? I would say the answer is no. Honesty is the foundation of any good relationship and without it the relationship usually won’t last. Like on Pretty Little Liars when Hanna is threatened by A to give tickets to Aria’s mom for an art event and ultimately out Aria’s relationship with Ezra, it really would have been better for Hanna to just come clean to Aria right away instead of keeping it from her and ultimately hurting her. Either way she would have hurt her, but she made Aria wonder if she could trust her and that just isn’t good for any friendship or relationship. I think it is just better to bite the bullet and come clean with your friends. That way, at least they still know they can trust you.
