Kitchen play is one of the best learning opportunities for kiddos- it’s real life practice, they have a ton of interest in it, it’s fun, and its a great way for parents and kids to play together! I mean, “ordering” a smoothie and bacon from the couch is really one of my favorite ways to play with my kids. Haha.

And play kitchens are fun, but they definitely take up a lot of space. Until now. The Pop-Oh-Ver company has this problem SOLVED! Their fun play kitchen sets are sturdy fabric pieces that ATTACH TO A CHAIR, and then can be folded up nice and neat and stored away. GENIUS! I love it so much. The kitchen sets themselves (there’s a countertop with toaster and blender, and a stove with an oven and microwave) are very well made. They slide on to the chair easily, and then are tied on. There are a couple of boards that you slide into a few places that help keep it all sturdy and easy to use. My little guy LOVED it, as you can see.

Sorry for picture overload, but I mean come on- he’s so stinkin’ cute, and so is the Pop-Oh-Ver sets, utensils, and food! All the pots and pans are adorable. And the play food sets food are soft and squishy- I was surprised when we took it out that they have a soft but sturdy material inside, so they are easier to handle than just fluffy felt food. The Pop-Oh-Ver sets have absolutely everything you need for a well-stocked play kitchen. One of my favorite parts is that the oven and microwave both open and close using magnets- so cute! And then there is a clear pocket to place the food in while it’s “cooking”. My kids and the kids I watch all had so much fun with this! And I just love being able to store it when we’re done! As a childcare provider, I can tell you that one of my very best secrets to happy children is toy rotation. If something is out all the time, kids lose interest. Take something out that has been stored for a few months? It’s Christmas all over again! Be sure to check them out, the holiday season will be here before you know it!
