Both of my kids enjoyed this movie (6 year old boy & 2 year old girl). We saw it in 3D and it was a fun way to see it but it isn’t necessary if you don’t want to spend the extra money. It was a cute little story and had some funny little jokes and puns throughout that had me and the other parents in the audience laughing, which was nice. It is also full of suspense and action (that is kid appropriate) keeping you invested in the movie. I loved Julie Bowen who voiced the plane Lil’ Dipper in this movie. Her character was quirky and fun and she did an excellent job voicing her.
What I like most about this movie is that it is a wholesome and you can take the entire family to it. It also has a great lesson as we watch Dusty deal with life’s disappointments and unexpected troubles and learning to put others needs before his own.
It isn’t the best movie Disney has made in these Cars/Planes theme but my kids really enjoyed it so I would say it is worth taking the kids out to the theater if you are looking for a fun indoor activity during this summer heat. The running time is only
