I can remember the pool in my hometown that sold Italian ice… it was so good! But the only place to get it was there… which was exactly the problem PhillySwirl founders ran into. They started their company in “1992 with an old ice cream machine, a chest freezer and a rented a 400-square-foot house with a carport for a storefront.” Wow. Fast forward a few years, and now we can all enjoy a swirled Italian ice treat right from our grocers freezer! We loved each of these treats so much! They were each sooooo tasty, and all so fun, colorful, and great for a end of summer treat! I also love that they are allergy-friendly- neither of my boys have any food allergies, but when we have their friends over, I always like to be safe rather than sorry!
