I received a Cinema Box for this review, all opinions are my own.
My girls love to use their imagination and our whole family absolutely loves movies. We usually have movie night every Sunday night and this week was no different. The only thing that was different is that the girls made up stories for our movie night using the Cinema Box!
The Cinema Box is a great way to get kids to use their imagination and make up their own stories using the pictures from the Cinema Box! The Cinema Box comes equipped with invites, tickets, a shadow torch which includes some really fun story discs!
The girls had a ton of fun making up their own stories while watching the pictures using the special flashlight provided.
“MOULIN ROTY’S CINEMA BOX NAMED TOY FAIR “BEST IN PLAY” BY WORKING MOTHER MAGAZINE
Pass The Popcorn! Cinema Box Also Epitomizes American Toy Industry Association’s 2015 Trend Of Open-Ended Playtime Portsmouth, NH (March 10, 2015) — Working Mother magazine editors searched the overflowing aisles of last month’s Toy Fair to spot the most marvelous playthings for its busy readers. Likewise, the American Toy Industry Association (TIA) was tracking trends in 2015 play. They both agreed that Moulin Roty’s Cinema Box ($40) captured the spirit of open-ended play that engages, encourages and enhances young imaginations.
Pass the popcorn! Imported from France by Magicforest, the enchanting lets show-a-movie kit is designed for tots ages 3 and older. Young theatre-goers can pass out tickets, view several stories illuminated by a flashlight, and then narrate what they see on the “screen.” Editor after editor that stopped by Magicforest’s booth wrote down in their notes that Cinema Box was destined to be a big hit in 2015. Working Mother gleefully agreed! “Our editors recently roamed the floors and halls and racks and rows of Toy Fair in New York City,” blogged Jennifer Kelly Geddes and Irene Kwon at the magazine’s site, www.WorkingMother.com, “to view thousands of new offerings. We then narrowed the field to pinpoint the smartest, the coolest, the most engaging playthings for your kids. With the theme of multifaceted play—toys that feature layers of fun built right in,” wrote the editors, they enthusiastically included Cinema Box to their 20 Best in Play toy list. The TIA noted in its 2015 toy trends announcement that “with many kids today leading very structured lives, open-ended play gives them a chance to relax, have fun, and enjoy being kids without prescribed rules or restrictions.” Moulin Roty’s Cinema Box brings back the joys of childhood without a cord or screen. Working Mother describes the captivating kit this way:
The set comes with a stack of these adorable blank advertisements for kids to showcase which movie they’ll be showing and promote the popcorn & cocoa special Cinema Box • Ages 3+ • $40
“Storytelling and movie going are combined in this sweet kit, complete with a mini View-MasterTM mounted on a flashlight, five story disks to load and a bunch of tickets to distribute. Your
movie lover can design a marquee on the “Now Showing” pad, invite her dolls to sit in the front row and then choose a film to show on the box’s cover. There’s a cowboy flick, a pirate tale, a superhero adventure and more; encourage your child to tell a story that matches the scenes. Enjoy the show!”
