Pan Film Review~Now Playing In Theaters

I attended an advanced screening of this film.  All opinions are my own.

I am a big fan of Peter Pan films and I love Hugh Jackman.  I have been super excited to see the new movie, Pan.  Although it was very different than I thought it was going to be, my husband and I both had fun watching Pan.

This new movie is a very different take on the Peter Pan story.  It is a prequel that explains how the orphan Peter becomes Peter Pan.  It is unlike any pan 1other Peter Pan movie I have seen.

The actors in this movie were great.  By far, my favorite was Hugh Jackman as the evil captain Blackbeard.  He is a different type of pirate than you are expecting.  Hugh Jackman definitely had fun being the bad guy.  There is also a musical number in the movie and Hugh Jackman does a little singing.

The visual effects and CGI in this movie are very impressive.  Joe Wright and his creative team definitely have created a different kind of Neverland we have never seen.  I had the chance to see thispan 3 movie in 3D and the flying effects were pretty neat.  Overall though, I do not know if I would recommend this movie in 3D.

This movie is a great movie for the family.  It is a little violent but it is within the movie’s PG rating.  There may be a few moments that would be scary for younger children but overall, I think most children will enjoy this movie.  This is also a movie that parents will enjoy.

Overall, Pan is a fun film for the whole family to enjoy for its great visual effects and great performances from the whole cast.

Pan gets bragging rights!

pan 2

Pan is now playing in theaters.  It is rated PG “for fantasy action violence, language and some thematic material.”  For more information about the movie, you can visit the Pan Official Movie Site.
