My girls both absolutely love Shimmer and Shine from Nickelodeon, especially because the little girl who finds the genie lamp containing Shimmer and Shine (Twin genies) is named Leah! Shimmer and Shine are Leah’s secret Twin genies that always help her out when she gets into trouble! She is granted 3 wishes each day which oftentimes result in some pretty funny situations! Shimmer and Shine live in a magical world called Zaharamay Falls.
Charlotte who is going into her 2nd year of preschool especially loved Shimmer and Shine because they love to dance and sing and so does she! I was so happy that we were able to invite Charlotte’s friends over for a little #ShimmerandShineParty to celebrate the starting of school! The girls came over and were between the ages of 3-5 and they all had a blast! In fact as they left they asked their moms to get the same Shimmer and Shine toys that we had! All of these toys are available in stores at Target and Target.com!
Our fun party package included a book that each girl could color in and decorate and make up their own stories. Since most of them can’t write, they drew pictures and of course wrote their names. The girls loved being read to from Charlotte’s new Shimmer and Shine Book “Meet Shimmer and Shine” and of course using the fun stickers!
The girls were also really excited to start playing with the new Shimmer and Shine Toys.
The Tala and Nahal Action Figures were a big hit! My girls love the cute Monkey and Tiger that happen to be Shimmer and Shines pets.
Charlottes favorites were the Shimmer and Shine Dolls, their hair was so pretty and each of the girls loved brushing it! Each of the dolls came with a brush and fun stickers!
My favorite were the spinning Shimmer & Shine Wish and Spin Dolls! Each doll came with a brush and a magic lamp necklace that you can click! Each of the genies talks, spins and of course grants pretend wishes!

The girls after riding on the magic carpet and settling down were ready to dance away with the new Shimmer and Shine DVD! The girls each picked out a fun snack to put in their bucket and sat down on the magic carpet. They loved that there were 7 episodes to the DVD and they were able to choose one all together. A couple of the girls had never seen Shimmer and Shine and were really excited to watch!
