I am so excited going on Week 5 with Nutrisystem. I am really proud of all I have accomplished so far! I have not cheated or deviated one time! Now to some that may not be that big a deal but to me it has been huge! I went to a Birthday/Super Bowl Party that had pizza, ice cream, and brownies. I brought my Nutrisystem dinner with me and had some salad and I was good to go! I also went to a dinner with some friends and decided to eat before I left and I just had water, I was so proud of myself!
My Mother in Law was in town visiting and so we got together on Super Bowl Sunday at my Sister in Law’s house. I was so excited and happy that one of my sister in laws actually noticed they weight loss and complimented me by saying “Wow Briann you look fantastic!” I was seriously on cloud 9. I not only can fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans but I feel good in them. I do have about 15 more lbs to loose to get down to my goal weight but it felt good!
My Husband actually noticed too and said wow I can tell you have lost some weight. Now he doesn’t think I really need to loose anything but I know I would feel a lot more healthy and back to my old self if I did. My girls told me wow Mommy your really eating a lot of healthy things. Nutrisystem has seriously changed the way that I look at food. I am one who loves to sit down after my girls go to bed and eat some crackers or chips or I LOVE Popcorn with lots of butter. But now I just am not that hungry after they go to bed. I usually save my Nutrisystem snack/dessert for when they go to bed so that I can savor and enjoy it. I have not really missed eating my crackers or chips. I will say not eating those Brownies on Super Bowl Sunday was one of the hardest things I have done so far. BUT I DID it!
I can’t believe I have been on this wonderful journey for 5 whole weeks! I wish I had this plan a few years ago! I love that I get to choose what I eat and when I eat it. I also love that they have so many really great options! I ventured out and did my first flex dinner this week. A flex dinner is something I get once a week where I cook it myself and don’t eat the Nutrisystem dinners.
I decided to have 2 Whole Wheat Tortillas filled with shredded chicken, buffalo sauce a little bit of fat free ranch and lettuce all rolled up! I also had broccoli to go with it. I was so full by the end and it was delicious! I love that Nutrisystem is really teaching me healthy eating habits so that I can venture out on my own.
I have had so many yummy meals this week! I love adding my own veggies or twists and I love trying new things. The Whole Wheat Ricotta Crepes are so good!
I am so thrilled with my results so far and can’t wait to see if I can make my goal! Ok so let’s weigh in this week!
Starting Weight: 150
Week 1- down 6lbs! 144
Week 2- No Loss
Week 3 down 2 lbs 142!
Week 4: down 1 lbs! 141
I know 1 lb doesn’t seem like a lot but a pound is a pound and I will take it! I have really enjoyed Nutrisystem so far.
