I am part of the Nutrisystem Blogging Program and have received these products for free, all opinions are my own.
This week was a bit difficult for me, I had a lot going on! I had my sister in laws baby shower and my grandfather’s 90th birthday celebration! I will admit I fell off the wagon just a bit BUT I got right back on it! I decided at the baby shower to go ahead and eat what they were eating. Now I didn’t totally binge I did hold back which was definitely a good thing. I had a panini with spinach, 1 piece of turkey, 1 piece of cheese and a bit of mayo with fruit on the side. I decided to skip on the yummy cookies and brought those home to my husband and kids instead! They told me they were delicious and I was really ok with not eating them. I wanted to make sure that the next day I went right back on plan which I did and have been on it ever since! That was my weakness for the week.
So now that it’s spring and the flowers are starting to bloom I can’t wait to break out my warmer weather clothing! I have a couple pairs of shorts that I bought a few years ago and have not been able to wear them. Last summer I was huge and pregnant and the summer before that I didn’t like how I looked in them. I am so excited to announce that I will be continuing my Nutrisystem Blogging journey until June and can’t wait to see if I fit into those shorts!
Springtime and Summer are my absolute favorite seasons, especially here in Utah. I am really excited to break out some cute dresses, skirts and tops! I have been doing Nutrisystem for 10 weeks now and have really been inspired by some of the stories that I have heard around the social media sites. I met a lady on the Nutrisystem Friends Facebook Page that is a true inspiration. She lost 62 + lbs and has been maintaining it for over 3 years! She looks incredible and she feels amazing. In fact she is over 50 and sported a bikini on her vacation!
I recently read an article on “The Leaf by Nutrisystem” that really got me thinking about my relationship with food. In the past I would always reward myself if I did something good or was having a bad day. I would go out to eat with friends or get a diet coke and treat from the gas station. I noticed that I am now doing that with my girls. Oh if you do this I will reward you with that…I have to stop! Now I think once in awhile is fine. I have a deal with Leah that every 20 mins she reads for 20 days days she earns a treat. I love that idea but she is also not a food addict or turns to food when things are tough. The article really made me realize how much of an emotional eater I am. I am working on me and that’s enough.
I have noticed this winter that I have really been trying to eat better and get up and get moving! Even if it’s just a walk up and down our stairs or cleaning, it’s moving around! I hope that your getting up and moving and making a change too, I feel so much better! Now to my Week 9 results!
