I received this movie for my review. All opinions are my own.
I love watching movies with my kids, so I am always excited for new family movies we can enjoy together. Nine Lives has just come out on Blu-ray today!
“Tom Brand (Kevin Spacey) is a billionaire whose workaholic lifestyle takes him away from his loving wife Lara and adorable daughter Rebecca. Needing a present for Rebecca’s 11th birthday, Brand buys a seemingly harmless cat from a mysterious pet store. Suddenly, a bizarre turn of events traps poor Tom inside the animal’s body. The owner of the business tells him that he has one week to reconnect with his family, or live out the rest of his days as a cute and furry feline named Mr. Fuzzypants.”
This is a fun family movie with a great cast. I love Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Garner. While it isn’t the most amazing movie I have ever seen, and I will admit I didn’t have super high expectations. But I thought it was a fun movie that kept us entertained and my kids giggled a lot. I like that it is a movie we can all watch and enjoy together. It is rated PG. Plus with the Blu-ray you get bonus features, and here is what you will find on this Blu-ray…
Bonus Features:
- Letting the Cat Out of the Bag (12:03, HD): a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film with brief comments from director Barry Sonnenfeld, writers Dan Antoniazzi and Ben Shiffrin, producer Jonathan Vanger, costume designer Marylin Fitoussi, production designer Michael Wylie, and actors Jennifer Garner, Robbie Amell, Cheryl Hines, Mark Consuelos, and Christopher Walken.
- Russian for Herding Cats (14:07, HD): despite his allergies concerning cats, director Barry Sonnenfeld along with the cat trainers brought on for the movie describe the several Russian cats who play Mister Fuzzypants in the movie including Gene who did most of the posing for the camera and Uri who did most of the fast action.
Nine Lives is now available on Blu-ray, DVD & Digital HD!
