Leah has been asking to see the new movie Mr. Peabody and Sherman ever since she saw the trailer for it on TV. So I was really excited to be able to take her and a friend to go and see it.
Mr. Peabody and Sherman is a really funny movie about a super intelligent dog that adopts a little boy named Sherman. Mr. Peabody (voiced by Ty Burrell) invents a time machine called the Wabac and uses it to take Sherman (voiced by Max Charles) back in time to some of the most famous events in history. Sherman is able to go back to the French Revolution and meet Marie Antoinette, this was one of Leah’s favorite parts of the movie. With all the events in history that Sherman was able to visit he was about to make some history of his own! Sherman was about to start his first day of school! Sherman meets Penny ( voiced by Ariel Winter) who at first is a bit of a bully and he happens to get into a bit of trouble with her. Mr. Peabody decides to invite Penny and her parents over for dinner and that’s where the real adventures begin!
Penny, Mr. Peabody and Sherman all go back in time and discover things about each other and hope to save the world!
Leah loved this movie because it was really funny and she was able to learn somethings about history! One of her favorite parts is when Sherman meets Marie Antoinette and she says “I LOVE cake!” and gobbles it down. Another of Leah’s favorite parts was Mr. Peabody telling jokes and Sherman laughs then says “ha ha ha…I don’t get it” She thought it was hilarious! I really loved all of the history bits and being able to talk about them later with Leah. This was a seriously funny movie and we all loved it!
