So these are the final days before that special day us Mom’s look forward to all year! Mother’s Day! For me, this is a day that I get to show my own mother how much I can now appreciate all that she did for me when I was growing up. Mother’s Day has a new meaning for me since I became a mother myself. I always had fun creating new ways to make my own mother smile and cry with sentimental hand made thoughtful gifts each year. Now I have fun showing her how I appreciate and UNDERSTAND why she did the things that she did and how they have shaped the way I am a mother to my own children. While this is not the best day to buy moms everywhere their first set of cloth diapers to try out, we can use this day to find her products that will make her Supermom Powers stronger and life a little easier.
I know that in my own family, my husband has a little bit of a problem every year coming up with a gift for Mother’s Day that not only will make me happy but will also show that I am loved and appreciated. If all else fails have the children bring a bowl, box of cereal, and the milk up to mom. Don’t forget the spoon! If mom knows how you are in the kitchen then I am sure she will love that you attempted it at all!
No matter what you decide to make, buy, or cook for mom this sunday, remember that it is the one day of the year that is set aside to show her that everything she does for everyone during the rest of the year is appreciated.
