I am a big fan of Maxi-Cosi Car products and have owned car seats and strollers for my kids over the years. I have been very happy with the quality of their products. So when Maxi-Cosi said they wanted to send me their new Mico AP Infant Car Seat to review, I of course said yes 
From looking at a list of the features of the Maxi Cosi Mico AP Infant Car Seat I knew it had a lot to offer and I couldn’t wait for it to come so I could check it out myself.
It comes with a base to use in your car, I will talk more about that in part 2 of my review so stay tuned…
Probably my favorite feature is that the Mico AP has “Superior Side Impact Performance with Air Protect® technology”. Nothing is more important to me than safety when it comes to my baby girl. So I only want the best for her. I have read a lot about the Air Protect® technology and I am very impressed and glad this car seat has it.
On the Mico AP product page it says this car seat has “comfortable premium fabrics”, I’m happy to report that is true. The fabric is really soft and it is padded well giving baby a truly comfortable ride. I also love that it has padded harness covers which keep the straps from bothering baby girl’s neck. It even has a pad behind the lap buckle, they went the extra mile to make sure baby was cozy and comfy.
The 5 point harness is easy to adjust with the press of a button and pull of the strap right on the front of the car seat. It’s easy to get the right fit for baby.
As you may have notice my baby girl is getting older but still needs to be in an infant car seat. So once of the features of the Mico AP that appealed to me from the start was that “The Mico AP infant car seat is the lightest infant car seat* in its class.” Since baby is bigger now a lighter car seat makes it so much easier to carry her in the car seat. It really is a lot lighter than most infant seats including the one I was using before this one.

I also like the ergonomic handle, it makes it a lot more comfortable to carry. And I think it looks cool The handle adjusts to all the way behind the car seat as shown.
It comes with a Cozi-Dozi™ head insert for small babies who need more head support.
The Canopy can be opened to multiple positions and has a flip out visor as well. I really like this because I can keep the sun off baby girl’s face no matter which angle the sun comes from.

This infant car seat is for use from birth to 12 months. 5-22 pounds, 19"-29" in height.
