My kids love to make homemade gifts, especially for Mother’s Day. Now don’t get me wrong I love my girls pictures, pinecone birdhouses, necklaces or whatever else they want to get me. BUT sometimes I just want a gift that I know I will love. Edible Arrangements is a great place to get Mother’s Day gifts! Edible Arrangements will be sending me a Mother’s Day Edible arrangement to review.
I love that Edible Arrangements is a beautiful arrangement that can also be eaten! Let’s face it I do like getting flowers but I am not very good at keeping them alive. I love that the entire arrangement is edible! I love the pineapple flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, grapes etc. Super yummy and just for Mommy!
“This Mother’s Day, the odds are high that moms will gush over a gift from their kids. However, 100% of moms have told their children they liked/loved a gift when they DID NOT. That is just one of the findings from a survey conducted by Edible Arrangements designed to decode the “secret language” of moms.
Based on the survey, nearly 50% of all mothers say “Don’t get me anything.” When pressed, 40% of those moms say they really mean, “Get me something meaningful or wonderful.” Similarly, when mom says “You shouldn’t have” and over 35% admit to saying this, over half mean, “Thanks for making the effort,” and another quarter are actually thinking, “This is extravagant, but thank you!” Moms do seem to be telling the truth though when they say“Save your money,” however; 66% say they mean just that when they utter the phrase.
Eighty percent of moms say they’ve hinted about what they’d really like for Mother’s Day, adding to the subterfuge. Why is mom so cagey? According to Jenny Isenman from The Suburban Jungle, “Moms are a cagey crew but it’s usually out of love. We fib to save our kids’ feelings and because we are always trying to do what’s best for them. To this day my kids think they don’t have ketchup packets at drive-thru windows (and my car is thankful).” She continues, “That said, we get one day dedicated to us, don’t go for something generic, be more creative, people, and if you’re really good, maybe I’ll even share it with you.”
Kids don’t always get it right, however. Fully 30% of moms queried said they had been “totally forgotten” on at least one Mother’s Day.
Here’s what moms surveyed said about how to “improve” Mother’s Day. The top three gifts NOT to get mom, in order, are: drugstore candy, generic bath products or the “same old flower arrangement.” Fifty percent of moms said the number one way to improve Mother’s Day this year is to “surprise me with an unexpected gift.”
According to Tariq Farid, CEO of Edible Arrangements, who credits his own mom with providing some of life’s most valuable lessons, “Mother’s Day is our busiest, most beloved day, a day when kids want to show off their thoughtfulness with a meaningful gift that mom can enjoy with her whole family. However you commemorate the day, make it enjoyable for mom, and the rewards will be endless.
So, this Mother’s Day if you want mom to sing your praises and like you best, take heed!” (Edible Arrangements Press Release)
“Our NEW Mother’s Day Bouquet™ Special Berry Trio is filled with all our fresh fruit favorites, including fresh pineapple hearts, and features our new MOM heart, made of fresh pineapple dipped in semisweet chocolate with a custom white chocolate heart banner.
