Long Lasting Lip Color, Gorgeous Lips!~LipSense Review

I am someone who enjoys getting dressed up most days no matter what is on my to-do list. For me, doing my hair and make-up is a must because it makes me feel more motivated, so most days you will find my hair curled and my eyebrows filled :). I have recently started wearing lipstick, and I absolutely love the look it gives me. That is why I was really excited when Kristen, a LipSense distributer sent me a LipSense Lip Collection to review!

Lipstick is one of those things that can really boost anyone’s look. Now I know that moms don’t always have time to apply and then RE-APPLY lipstick, but that is why LipSense Liquid Lip color  is so great. It is a product that pretty much lasts all day, and that is something we busy moms can appreciate!! Here are a few reasons why you need to try LipSense:

When looking through all the Lipsense colors, I was absolutely amazed by the selection available (the photo here just shows a few of them)! There really is a color for every single taste, and I was a big fan of several of them. I ultimately went with the Berry Lipcolor and couldn’t be happier with my choice. The color I chose is very bold, and I chose it because I felt like making a statement when I wore it. Boy does it make a statement! It’s a deep maroon color and looks so great with most of my winter wardrobe (think black and grays).

1. With LipSense, you will need to choose a color and then a gloss. Depending on your preference, you can choose a shiny gloss, a matte gloss, or even a sparkle gloss. There are a lot of options when it comes to LipSense. How it works is you apply a few layers of color (let each layer dry before applying the next) and then you apply the gloss. Now, being new to lipstick in general, I have to say there was a bit of a learning curve for me when it came to LipSense. First, with the dark color I chose, it was difficult to apply the color in an even sweep. Practice makes perfect though, and I am getting better with applying it! Second, my lips were pretty dry and the color didn’t look great until I took care of that problem. Now when I wear my LipSense, I get a lot of complements and it has helped me pay more attention to taking care of my lips (who knew that you should exfoliate your lips??!).

The first time I wore my Berry LipSense, it stayed on perfectly until early afternoon when I ate BBQ for lunch. It started coming off near the corners of my mouth. But of course it did…eating BBQ is a messy job! Having said that, I think 5 hours of wear without needing touch-up is pretty good for a lip color!! I find myself applying the gloss about every 2 hours or so. One thing I will say is that you MUST get the Ooops! Remover along with your lip sense. This long lasting lip color is no joke. Once it’s on, it really isn’t going anywhere so having the Ooops! Remover is your best option in removing the lip color when it’s time.
