My 5 year old Leah is absolutely my little fashionista. She loves to dress up and come up with her own fashion outfits. Leah also loves to dress Charlotte up in her clothes and put jewelry on her. I was really excited to receive the Style Paige Dress Up starter set plus the additional Prom, Fairy and Pink kits to review.
Leah really fell in love with the fashion design dress up kits. The first one she wanted to try out wash the Prom set which includes jewels, teal sleeves, side pieces and more! The first thing we needed to do was set up the Dress form so that Leah could easily slip on the starter shirt and skirt and get right to work. Leah really loved velcroing all of the different pieces onto the fabric to make her own look. I love that this was a simple way to get Leah’s fashion creativity flowing. The pieces all have velcro on them so they are easily put on and taken off. The starter skirt and shirt have the velcro running all the way down and circles across the neck so that the fabric is easily fitted on. In fact I was trying to help Leah design a cute dress and she was like ” Mom I can do this myself” so I just let her at it.
Leah really liked putting together the Style Paige starter dress too. Her favorite pieces were the jewels and of course the pretty pink material. I think that this is a genius idea, especially since no sewing is involved! I am not a seamstress and so this is perfect for us! These kits are designed for children ages 6-13, the skirt and shirt are very stretchy and were a little big on Leah but she loved them anyways!
