I have been a big fan of the Tarpy Splat Mat since I have owned one for a few years and I have used it so much with my son. Now that I have another child I realized I need another high chair mat for her! I was thrilled when the lovely people at Tarpy said they wanted to send me another one to review.
I love that the Tarpy can be folded/rolled up nice and small and it has a little elastic band connected to it that wraps around itself. That makes it so nice for traveling. I can easily fit it in my diaper bag for our trip to the park.
I love the size of it, it is big enough to protect the floor all around my baby girl’s high chair. Another thing I really love is how easy it is to clean. You can just wipe it if it’s not very messy, but you can also throw it in the wash machine. I also dry mine in the dryer. I have had one for years and washed and dried it many times and it still looks great. It has held up very well, it’s a high quality mat. That’s why when I needed another one, only Tarpy will do.
Our dining room is carpeted, ughhh. Which makes protecting my floors at meal time a must. You can see in the picture below, I have my son eating at the picnic table and my baby’s high chair next to it. He has had a Tarpy mat under his table for years and it has done a wonderful job. Now I have 2 Tarpys side by side protecting my carpet. It’s perfect!
Another great use for the Tarpy is to use it as an activity mat for art projects. It’s big enough to cover the table well and protect it from all the messes an art project with little ones can bring
