Phew I am in Week 4 and past the hurdles of being hungry and knowing when to eat what and what to eat! I have to say if your looking for a “diet” plan (hate that word!) that let’s you actually eat this is the one for you! I have really enjoyed the food I have had with Nutrisystem. Now don’t get me wrong there have been a few items I tried that aren’t to my liking but overall everything is so good!
In fact tonight for dinner I had the Nutrisystem BBQ chicken and baked beans and a big side of broccoli with a little spray butter, garlic and pepper and it was too die for good!
I will say that the scale and me in the past have always had a bit of a rocky relationship. Some days I love him and some days I want to sit and cry and eat a bunch of BBQ chips. Well I have fallen back in love with him…my scale yes I made it a he. You see in the past if I was trying to loose weight or even just trying to maintain or get my favorite pair of pants zipped up I would step on the scale and usually it was a cringe worthy moment.
BUT I will say with Nutrisystem that is not the case! I won’t say that I have lost every week, like I explained last week I did not loose anything. But I feel better and healthier. Anyone that has had a baby knows how hard it is to loose weight afterwards. I have been holding onto not only baby Parker weight but also Leah and Charlotte weight! Now before I get to my weight this week I want to tell you how in love with “Bob my scale” I am! I have been fluctuating yes but a lot of that is water retention. I have seen miracles and by miracles I mean being able to fit into a pair of my pre-Parker jeans that I haven’t been able to even get up over my thighs!
I almost rejoice everytime I step on the scale now because I may not have lost a lb but I know I have lost inches. Now when that scale moves I yell Hallelujah, wahoo, that’s what I’m talking about and a good ole I LOVE you BOB!!!
What I have loved about Nutrisystem is there is no counting, measuring, weighing my food of any kind! Let me show you what I mean, here is a typical day of eating on the Nutrisystem Plan:
Breakfast: I have a Nutrisystem Entree such as pancakes, waffles, chocolate muffin or donut etc
Power fuel- 1 scrambled egg mixed with Bell Peppers, Spinach, Garlic and topped with Salsa…YUMMY!
Snack: I usually have another Powerfuel which is a String Cheese or my new favorite Strawberry Cheesecake Greek Yogurt
Lunch: Nutrisystem Entree such as Hamburger, Chicken Sandwich, Tortilla Soup. etc. and I also add a Veggie like Broccoli, Salad or Green Beans
Snack: Power Fuel and Smart Carb. So today I had String Cheese and for my Smart Carb Hummus with Cucumbers and Carrots-I was seriously filled and not hungry!
Dinner: Nutrisystem Entree- BBQ Chicken and Baked Beans, Lasagna, Pizza etc. I LOVE adding a bunch of veggies to their Pizza then I also have some kind of veggie with it.
Snack: I end my night with a yummy Nutrisystem Snack or Dessert: Brownie, Popcorn, Pretzels, Carrot Cake all of them are so good!
So as you can see I am not counting my carbs I am not weighing my food I am not measuring. Now I am also not weighing myself, measuring myself. I love this plan I can not express it enough! It has changed my eating habits completely. In fact I haven’t wanted to cheat because I want to see myself stick through it and be successful! Did I mention that I can also have Diet Coke??? So good!
Ok now let’s get to the good stuff….me and Bob had a date and it was great!
Starting Weight: 150
Week 1- down 6lbs! 144
Week 2- No Loss
Week 3 weigh in: down 2 lbs 142!
Holy Cow I am down 8 lbs in 3 weeks! The first week I lost 6 lbs 2nd week nothing and the 3rd week 2lbs! I have also lost inches! I wish I would have measured myself at the very beginning. But I know I lost inches because there is no way I would have been able to fit into my jeans. My husband has even told me that he can tell I have lost weight! How exciting is that to have someone actually notice! I have really noticed that I’m trying to get my 64 oz of water in. I am trying to get my 4 servings of veggies in. Now if you know me I don’t really eat veggies unless it’s a salad. I would never sit down to hummus and cucumbers and carrots. I just wouldn’t do it. I am so proud of myself and I know that I can do this!
