I attended an advanced screening of this film. All opinions are my own.
“Academy Award® winner Ron Howard returns to direct the latest bestseller in Dan Brown’s (Da Vinci Code) billion-dollar Robert Langdon series, Inferno, which finds the famous symbologist (again played by Tom Hanks) on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to foil a deadly global plot.” -©Sony Pictures
I have enjoyed the other movies in the Robert Langdon series and I was excited to see the latest entry, INFERNO. After viewing it, I enjoyed watching this film.
I thought this movie had a fun plot, though it was very similar to the plots in the previous films. Once again, we are following Robert Langdon as he is deciphering different clues to stop a huge catastrophe. This movie did have some plot twists I was not expecting. I loved being surprised. I enjoyed this movie more than the previous entry in the series, Angels and Demons.
I thought that the cast was great. Tom Hanks easily returned to the role of Robert Langdon. I really like how he portrays this character. I thought that Felicity Jones was a great addition as Sienna Brooks. Her character is a great addition in working with the Langdon character.
Overall, if you liked the other films in the Robert Langdon series, you will enjoy INFERNO.
INFERNO gets bragging rights!
INFERNO is now playing in theaters. It is rated PG-13 “for sequences of action and violence, disturbing images, some language, thematic elements and brief sensuality.”
