I couldn’t wait to go the the advanced screening of If I stay with one of my good friends.
“Life changes in an instant for young Mia Hall after a car accident puts her in a coma. During an out-of-body experience, she must decide whether to wake up and live a life far different than she had imagined." (If I stay Website)
I have been really excited to have a girls night out and to go to this movie. If I stay is a movie about Mia (Played by Chloë Grace Moretz) who is an incredible Cellist and has awesome parents. Her Dad was a Rocker and he met her Mom and then came Mia who loves classical music and the cello and her little brother Henry. Mia meets Adam (Played by Jamie Blackley) whom she never thought she would like let alone fall in love with.
Adam of course is a Rocker and his band is making it big. Mia has a big choice to make and she thinks it’s the biggest until one Day a Sunday Drive turns into Mia fighting for her life. Mia is inbetween life and death and deciding her fate.
“Gayle Forman’s best-selling novel comes to the screen in New Line Cinema’s and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures’ drama “If I Stay,” starring Chloë Grace Moretz (“Carrie,” the “Kick-Ass” films), Mireille Enos (TV’s “The Killing,” “World War Z”), Joshua Leonard (“Higher Ground”), Jamie Blackley (“Snow White and the Huntsmen”) and Stacy Keach (“Nebraska”).
Mia Hall (Moretz) thought the hardest decision she would ever face would be whether to pursue her musical dreams at Juilliard or follow a different path to be with the love of her life, Adam (Blackley). But what should have been a carefree family drive changes everything in an instant, and now her own life hangs in the balance. Caught between life and death for one revealing day, Mia has only one decision left, which will not only decide her future but her ultimate fate.” ( If I stay website)
I absolutely loved this movie. It was one of the best movies I have seen in a longtime. One of the things that I think made it so great was the awesome music! I loved the classical and the rock. My friend also thought this was an incredibly moving movie. It got us both thinking a lot! I cried, I laughed and I would most definitely recommend this! It is rated PG-13 so I wouldn’t recommend it for younger audiences.
