Making cannabis hard candy is a simple process that can be done at home. All you need are a few simple tools, some essential ingredients, and some patience. The advantage of infusing THC or NuLeaf Naturals CBD into hard candies is that it allows for easy dosing of edibles. It may also be beneficial if you’re seeking a covert way to consume marijuana edibles.

Recipe for CBD Hard Candy & CBD Sweets
Ingredients:
- CBD tincture 25-50 mg (or as desired)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup distilled water
- 1/2 tsp extract of raspberry, orange, lime or vanilla extract (optional)
- food coloring (optional)
Equipment:
- Thermometer for candy
- Small but sturdy saucepan
- 20 lollipop sticks (or candy molds)
If you do not have mold, there is an alternative. Apply icing sugar to a pan to make a layer. Create dents in the icing sugar the size of the candy you wish to produce, and you now have a candy mold.
Directions:
- Candy making is a time-consuming process; acquire all necessary tools and ingredients before beginning. Make a powdered sugar mold in advance if required.
- If you’re making lollipops or using a genuine candy mold, lubricate it with coconut oil before you begin.
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine sugar and corn syrup. Stir constantly until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Bring the mixture to a slow boil. At all times, keep an eye on the cross. Stir often and exercise utmost caution. Sugar that has been heated to a high temperature can cause severe burns.
- You need to place the candy thermometer in the pot and cook until the mixture reaches a temperature of 300°F to 310°F. Maintain regular stirring.
- Remove the thermometer when it hits 300°F to 310°F degrees. Add the jello and cannabis tincture and whisk vigorously until incorporated.
- Take the pan off the heat. Pour the mixture into the candy molds using a metal spoon. You must act swiftly during this stage since it quickly sets. Additionally, keep in mind that heated sugar burns. Take extreme caution.
- Allow the candy to cool to room temperature before consuming. Keep the sweets out of the refrigerator and freezer. The candy will harden as it cools.
- After the hard candy or lollipops have cooled slightly, dust them liberally with icing sugar.
- Keep in a cold, dry area in a glass or metal container.
Why is it a good idea to have CBD candies?
You’ve been following the same routine for years: smoke or vape a bowl, fall into the high and then devour some sweets in the minutes and hours that follow. The high is almost instantaneous, and the tastes and feelings as you exhale are unique.
Edibles offer a unique experience that is not intended to replace smoking or vaping. Edibles are well-known for generating a robust and full-sensory high that is quite unlike smoking. The edibles high can last hours, and symptoms may include bouts of laughter, a newfound respect for blankets, and an overwhelming desire to raid the refrigerator – that is if you can drag yourself off the sofa at all.
Edibles such as THC candies, biscuits, or gummies are also an excellent alternative for individuals who are unable or unable to smoke. Additionally, they make a perfect party treat or parting gift for dinner guests (and a way to bribe them into finally going home). Avoid handing these out to trick-or-treaters on Halloween, as this would constitute a criminal in a fully legal cannabis state.
