If you haven’t figured it out yet, I love animated movies. I will admit, I was nervous to see Hotel Transylvania because Adam Sandler was one of the featured voices. I was afraid he would take it ‘over the top’ with the whole vampire thing. I really enjoyed this movie a lot and so did many of the families that were also in my screening.

This is a great movie for the Halloween season. You have all the classic movie monsters put together in a very fun and entertaining movie. It was fun to see how they all interacted together as one big group.

The 3D in this movie was top notch. In this movie, the 3D actually added a lot to the film. This is one movie that I really believe is actually more fun to view with the 3D. In the movie, the vampires turn into bats a lot and fly around. With the 3D, you actually feel like you are flying alongside them. I really loved watching this movie in 3D.

All the actors sound like they are having a lot of fun with their performances. The one surprise to me was that Fran Drescher (for me, she is known as ‘The Nanny’) was a voice in this film. She is very well cast as Eunice, or the Bride of Frankenstein. There is no missing her very distinct voice and it is perfect for her character. I also loved the character of Mavis, voiced by Selena Gomez. She was so cute!

There is a lot of great humor in this movie. One of my favorites is actually a joke they make about Twilight. I should say that I probably should not have been surprised, but I was. In a movie with vampires and werewolves, you should expect a Twilight joke to show up.

Hotel Transylvania is a great movie for the whole family to enjoy. This one is worth seeing in 3D. It is the perfect movie to see for Halloween this year.
