Hot weather means lots of popsicles to cool us off. Popsicles are a right of passage for children but I hesitate giving my kids the sugar filled frozen treats that I can get in the grocery store. That is why I was really excited to review a Triple Quick Pop Maker along with the Space Molds from Zoku!
“Freeze ice pops in as little as seven minutes with the patented Zoku Quick Pop® Maker! Make striped pops, yogurt pops, or even flavored core pops right on your countertop without electricity. To enjoy Quick Pops at a moment’s notice, simply store the compact base in your freezer.”
I have always loved creating my own popsicles, and from the ice creations that I find in my freezer, I think my kids love it as well. We have some cheap popsicle molds that we bought a few years ago, but they don’t work very well, and they take much too long to freeze. When you have 4 young children, time is of the essence when making a treat. The Zoku Quick Pop Maker is such a great product and my kids have a great time creating their own summer treats!
Using the Quick Pop Maker is so simple, and that is important to me. We started by freezing the quick pop maker for several hours. This is what makes the popsicle ingredients freeze so quickly and really is an ingenious idea. Once the mold was frozen, we grabbed some frozen fruit (which we had thawed), put it into the blender, and poured it into the popsicle maker once we had placed the pop sticks into the molds. We mixed our berries with a bit of vanilla greek yogurt and the kids absolutely loved the taste. Now we didn’t take the time to make them all fancy (that would have required a couple separate freezes), but you can certainly create some really fancy popsicles with this awesome product. They even give you different recipes to create delicious concoctions! We keep our Quick Pop Maker in the freezer at all times so it will be ready to go whenever we feel the need to mix up a fun treat (we made pineapple whips the other day).
In addition to using the Zoku Quick Pop Maker, we put some of our ingredients into the Space Pop Molds. These are molds that are shaped like rocket ships and one single astronaut, and they were lots of fun for my kids. The mold is NOT a quick pop maker, so we did have to wait a few hours before out popsicles were frozen, but I loved how easy and fun they were for the whole family. Clean up was a breeze, and I can see us using these several times a week this summer!
“It’s time to blast off with the Space Pops. To make the best pops in the galaxy, just use your favorite combination of fruit juice, yogurt, and add-ins. Transform your kitchen into mission control by simply pouring your ingredients into the detailed molds, inserting the reusable sticks, and placing them in your freezer. When your freshly-frozen treats are ready for takeoff, just pop the astronaut out of the mold—no rinsing required!”
Zoku has several different styles of popsicle makers that you can choose from so you can find the best options for your summer fun this year. Not only will your kids have a blast making the popsicles, you will feel great about being able to fill them with healthy ingredients!
