As moms we are busy all the time! The kids demand so much time, the cleaning the cooking, the driving, the laundry that never seems to end…sometimes it can be hard to find time for yourself. Let’s face it sometimes we run around like crazy helping everyone else and forget to even do things for ourselves. In fact there are days when five o’clock rolls around and I haven’t even had the chance to shower, yikes!
Us moms need to make sure we take time for ourselves. "If mom isn’t happy nobody is happy" those words are too true. As a mom I know I set the mood of my home. When I’m grumpy, everyone else follows suit. So I make sure I take some me time everyday.
You have to find the time of day that works best for you. Whether it’s while the kids are at school, when the baby naps, or after they have gone to bed at night. I take my me time while baby girl naps and big brother is at pre-school. It is the perfect time to catch up on my Master Chef and Bachelorette recorded episodes. It’s so nice to put my feet up, relax and actually hear my show 🙂
Of course no me time is complete without a sweet treat…I was introduced to the Quaker Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies a few months ago and now I’m hooked! They are crispy and delicious and the perfect treat to enjoy while you are taking a break from your mommy duties.
My son loves these cookies as well, and has no idea they have oatmeal in them. Awesome! So your kids will most likely enjoy them too, that is, if your willing to share 🙂
Quaker® Chocolate Chip Cookies allow me to be indulgent while still providing the power of Quaker® oats to fuel me for whatever the rest of the day might hold.
