There was a time when I had all the answers, at least I thought I did. But unfortunately that time left me in a hospital room almost 4 years ago. I am referring to when Bug was born. Yep, once I had a baby I realized I knew nothing! Before, I would act like I knew and even gave my friends with kids suggestions on parenting (I know I was that person, SOOOO Annoying!). But the truth is parenting is hard and there are so many questions that arise. It doesn’t matter how many books you’ve read or how many hours of babysitting you’ve put in. You are going to have questions, and lots of them.
I was thrilled when I was introduced to Dr. Tanya.
“A leading medical authority for the popular press and entertainment industry, Dr. Tanya Remer Altmann is a best-selling author, parenting expert and media spokesperson. A working mother and UCLA-trained pediatrician who practices in Southern California, Dr. Tanya is a designated spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics, communicating complicated medical issues into easily understood concepts.
As a child health expert for numerous news programs and talk shows including Today (NBC), A Place of Our Own (PBS) and KTLA 5 Morning News @9 (CW Los Angeles), Dr. Tanya has discussed breaking medical news stories and controversial parenting issues. She stays on the cutting edge through her position as a Clinical Instructor at Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA, as the pediatric advisor for the Newborn Channel and her private practice.”
I love having a place I can go online to ask medical or parenting questions. One Dr. Tanya’s Blog there is a list of topics and you can look through and see what she has to say about each. I love her post: Dr. Tanya’s Baby Bag Essentials, what a great thing to have a nice list of everything you will want in your diaper bag.
If you can’t find the answers you are looking for you can Ask Dr. Tanya and she will reply with the answer on her blog. It is so nice having such a great parenting and medical resource available to all of us parents!
“When parenting questions arise, Dr. Tanya has the answers—she has been quoted in more than one hundred periodicals, including Newsweek, USA Today, Los Angeles Times and Parents magazine. Her popular parenting workshops help parents through day-to-day child rearing challenges, and she responds to concerned caregivers and blogs on controversial topics on the iVillage website, Momtourage, and the msnbc website TODAYMoms.”
